Marie
E. Pletsch, M.D.,
received her M.D. degree from the University of Toronto in 1962.
She completed an internship in 1963 at Cook County Hospital in
Chicago, followed by a three-year residency in general surgery at
Cook County Hospital, Chicago and St. Mary's Hospital, San
Francisco. She then completed a three-year residency in plastic
surgery at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. This included a
rotation through Letterman Army Hospital, Contra Costa County
Hospital, San Quentin Prison Hospital, U.S. Public Health Hospital
and Southern Pacific Hospital.
